Audrey Namdiero-Walsh recently joined the GDL as the Director of the Secretariat, where she oversees the strategic development of the GDL and its activities. Audrey is a highly accomplished and results-oriented Senior Program Management Professional with over 15 years of experience in leading and executing complex programs in the education and health sectors. She possesses a strong track record of delivering successful outcomes while effectively managing stakeholder relationships, engaging diverse stakeholders, and establishing multi-sector networks for mutual learning and joint profits.
Before joining the GDL, Audrey was the Director for European Operations and Acting Director for Gender Equality and Inclusion with the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS). As the Director for European Operations, she provided operational leadership and directed stakeholder engagement efforts of AIMS’ two partnership advancement chapters in Europe (AIMS Germany and AIMS UK). As Acting Director for Gender Equality and Inclusion, she engaged staff in a transformational process to mainstream effectively gender equality and inclusion throughout the organization and in its programs.
Prior to this, she worked in various international project management roles fostering a sense of community and collaboration, building strong networks that drive participation, innovation, and support for program objectives.
Audrey is also a clinical psychologist and is enthusiastic about building meaningful relationships in order to address complex and often intersecting challenges we face today. When she is not in the office, Audrey enjoys long leisurely walks with her husband and friends, devouring forensic crime novels, and is passionate about nutrition and healthy lifestyles.
