Teodora Tea Ristevska holds a master’s degree in political science from the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje. In 2018, she obtained her second Master’s degree in European Studies at the University of Ljubljana. She completed her PhD at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Social Sciences, and defended her dissertation on the Security-Liberty Dilemma in the case of the War on Terrorism in July 2024. She currently works there as a researcher and teaching assistant for the topics of terrorism and counterterrorism and intelligence studies.
In 2022, Teodora became a research fellow at American University, School for International Service in Washington DC. In 2024, she became a Casimir Pulaski Fellow as part of the Empowering Young Women Experts in Regional Security and Foreign Policy Fellowship. She has been an active member of the Euro-Atlantic Council-Youth Branch since 2019.
Besides her academic career, she is an art lover with training in violin, painting and photography and has been singing semi-professionally and as a hobby in choirs in North Macedonia and Slovenia for more than 19 years.
