Shah Md Imran

Imran is a Policy Expert in Digital Transformation and a Project Management specialist with 12 years of leadership experience at both local and international levels. He possesses a unique background in policy advocacy, youth empowerment, and human rights education, leveraging digital transformation initiatives to thrive in today’s dynamic, technology-driven landscape.

Currently, Imran serves as a Project Manager at the Digital Leadership Academy (DLA), where he supports the Bangladesh Government in establishing the country’s premier institution aimed at enhancing human capital with the leadership, technical skills, and competencies needed for Industry 4.0.

His career has spanned various roles in organizations such as the Bangladesh Government, the World Bank, GIZ, IFA, and Transparency International Bangladesh, reflecting his successful track record and international experience. Imran is also the founder of Onuronon, a youth-based social enterprise dedicated to promoting sustainable initiatives in the human rights education sector. He is a founding member of Young Professionals Against Corruption (YPAC), which was established by TIB to raise awareness and promote accountability, integrity, and transparency among young professionals in Bangladesh.

Previously, he volunteered as the Group Leader for the Youth Engagement & Support Group of TIB, as a Program Coordinator for the Bangladesh Open-Source Network, and as Youth Chief for Red Crescent Bangladesh. He also served as the Exam Controller for the Bangladesh Mathematical Olympiad Committee.

In 2013, Imran was awarded the CrossCulture Fellowship from the Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen (Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations) in Germany, subsequently becoming the Country Representative of the program in Bangladesh. He has served as a member of the General Assembly for Transparency International Bangladesh.

Born and raised in Rangpur, the northern part of Bangladesh, Imran earned his Master’s in Governance Studies from Dhaka University and a Bachelor’s in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from East West University. He currently resides in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, and has work experience in both Dhaka and Berlin, Germany.
