Omair Ahmad holds an MA in international studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and an MA in international relations from Syracuse University, NY. He has worked as a policy adviser to the British High Commission in New Delhi, as an analyst for PRS Legislative Research, which examines issues before the Indian Parliament, as a journalist for Voice of America in Washington DC and Outlook Magazine in India, and as a programme manager for the Friedrich-Naumann-Stiftung in Delhi, handling their Tibet and Kashmir projects. He is also an award-winning author, with books published in multiple languages. His last novel, Jimmy the Terrorist, was shortlisted for the Man Asian Award, and his last non-fiction book was on the political history of Bhutan.
