Nozipho Makhanda is a development consultant with over five years of experience in the civil society sector. She has managed major CSO initiatives across Africa and Europe and is a dedicated climate action activist. Her competences are in social innovation with a particular focus on climate change, environmental management and providing sustainable solutions to developmental problems in various geographical locations around the world.
Nozipho is a sociologist by profession, and specialised in global studies, migration and sustainability. Nozipho is a very adaptable person and possesses a number of skills in research and data management, social media marketing and excellent interpersonal skills. Prior to this, Nozipho was also a facilitator for diversity, equity and inclusion from 2017 to 2019. She has acquired considerable expertise in peace and governance and represented the African Union as a Peace Ambassador in 2021 during the African Union’s Silencing the Gun campaign.
