Dr Noaquia Callahan is the founder and CEO of Colored Bird Institute LLC. – a scholarship education company for underserved students, educators and communities in the US and abroad.
Noaquia has experience working across the United States and abroad developing strategic grant initiatives focused on underrepresented minorities, creating community engagement projects linking race, mobility and transatlantic relations, and speaking with students on the opportunities competitive academic scholarships and international study can create.
When she’s not running her business, she’s living out her other dream in the classroom as an Assistant Professor of History at a community college in Southern California.
Noaquia was awarded the 2019 Obama Dissertation Award for her research on African American feminist transnational activism during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
