Haifen Nan is a freelance author and consultant for Sino-German cooperation with a focus on media and transcultural communication. From 2012 to 2016, she managed various China programmes on behalf of the Robert Bosch Foundation, including their Chinese microblog on Weibo and the journalist exchange programme “Media Ambassadors China – Germany”.
Haifen Nan studied journalism and communication science at Nanjing University and media informatics at RWTH Aachen University. Her doctorate research at Heidelberg University focuses on “Chinese Media and the Transformation of Identity“. Haifen Nan regularly writes articles about Germany for various Chinese media, including Yangtze Evening, the Chinese evening paper with the highest circulation. Since 2011, she has been actively engaged in the exchange between journalists from China and Germany.
