David Hermann is a career diplomat in the German Foreign Service. Professional assignments have taken him from Japanese election campaigns and security developments in the Indo-Pacific to key venues of global governance.
During Germany’s recent membership in the United Nations Security Council, he furthered his expertise in multilateral collaboration to address global challenges. Based on his experience in a demographic that is underrepresented in international diplomacy, his passion lies in pioneering inclusive approaches to policymaking from the local to the global level, bringing visibility to the marginalized and empowering them to contribute their perspectives, for a more just and equitable world and in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.
David has been a member of the BMW Foundation Responsible Leaders Network since 2016.
