Daniel Kramer is the Director of the Fulbright US Student Program (FUSP) at the Institute of International Education (IIE). In his role, he oversees the FUSP selection process and works closely with other key stakeholders – including the US Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA), 49 Fulbright Commissions, over 80 US Embassies and numerous US and international universities – on the pre-departure preparation and in-country support of ca. 2100 participants in over 130 countries.
Dan came to IIE in 2012, after having worked in academia for over a decade as a faculty member – teaching, conducting research and directing study abroad programmes. Dan did his undergraduate work at St. John’s University in Minnesota, earned his MA from the University of Wisconsin in Madison and holds a Ph.D. from Harvard.
