Christian Autengruber is an Austrian diplomat, currently serving in Hungary as director of the Austrian Cultural Forum Budapest. Previously, he worked on political matters and neighbourhood policy in Prague and Warsaw and in the field of cultural diplomacy at the directorate for international cultural affairs at the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs in Vienna.
Among other responsibilities, he contributed to the development of a new permanent Austrian exhibition at Auschwitz and represented the Ministry oin the board of the fund for the restoration of Jewish cemeteries in Austria. He is a lecturer for cultural diplomacy at the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna.
