Arben Cejku

Arben Çejku (Ret), is one of the founders of the Council of Albanian Ambassador and the current Executive Director of the ACGG (Albanian Centre for Good Governance). He was the Albanian Ambassador to North Macedonia from February 2009 until November 2013 and from 2005 to 2009, he served as DCM and Chief of the Albanian Diplomatic Mission in Kosovo. He is a trained diplomat from the Foreign Ministry of Albania (1993-95), as well as from the Diplomatic Academy in Vienna (2006) for European Integration Policies and from Austrian Leadership Program in 2016.

Mr. Çejku has also attended the Diplomatic School in Berlin (1994), the NATO School in Garmisch (1994), and completed a study visit with CNN Financial in New York (1999), AILA Program of CSIS for Leadership Spring 2024. Ambassador Çejku holds a MA in history and philology from the University of Tirana (1993). Previously occupation was in medias as journalist in Tirana, like Albanian Telegraphic Agency (ATA), “Albania” daily news, “Republika”, newspaper, “Panorama” etc.

He also was Co-founder and Executive Director of the Albanian Diplomatic Academy in 2001 – 2002. He is the author of several books, included “Kosovo – Sovereignty versus Integrity” 2024 about Serbia – Kosovo diplomatic talks, another book for the transition period in Albania, called “Imposed Democracy” (2000) and two other books, one with poetry (1996) and other one a fiction book, “Twelve” (2013). He speaks English and German.
