Ara Nazinyan is an experienced professional in a variety of development fields. His areas of expertise and interest include housing and social development, climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction, governance and citizens’ diplomacy. Ara is the founder and CEO of the social housing foundation in Armenia.
He also supports UN organizations in developing sustainable and efficient disaster risk management systems in Europe and Central Asia.
Previously, Ara led large grant-making and development programs in Armenia and Central Asia, focusing on strengthening civil society and good governance, promoting track 2 diplomacy efforts between Armenia and Turkey, in the Caucasus and Central Asia. Ara is a Vice Chair of the Urban Committee of the Housing Europe Federation.
