The Expert Directory is composed of nontraditional diplomats and experts who are specialists in topics such as migration, human rights, climate change, sustainable development, peace and security, to name a few. The experts are GDL members who wish to be listed in the directory. The GDL's endorsement of the Experts Directory attests to its reliability as a source of expertise. Members of the Expert Directory have undergone several rigorous selection filters to join the GDL, and the programs from the Federal Foreign Office, BMW, Mercator, or Bosch Foundations in which they previously participated. This confirms that members of the Expert Directory are recognized experts in their respective disciplines.
