Prof. Dr. Marion Halfmann is the International Officer at Hochschule Niederrhein and the designated president of Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, starting in November 2024. She oversees global partnerships with over 130 institutions and supports international project applications. Marion also holds a professorship in Business Administration, Marketing, and Sales at the Faculty of Business and Economics.
In addition to her roles at Hochschule Niederrhein, Marion serves as an external academic expert for accreditation agencies and is a Fulbright Alumna, actively involved in selecting scholars for Fulbright Germany. Previously, she was a professor for 16 years at two other universities of applied sciences in Germany, holding leadership roles such as Vice President for Teaching and Learning, Dean, and member of the university senate.
Before academia, Marion worked as a Consultant and Project Manager for international consulting firms. She earned her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Cologne in 1996.
