Abed Al Raouf Turman lives in the Old City of Jerusalem. He completed his Master’s degree in political science at Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf, Germany and received a Bachelor’s degree in English language and literature from Bethlehem University.
He is currently employed at the Goethe Institute in Jerusalem. He also works as a programme coordinator at the Hebrew Union College in Jerusalem.
Abed has recently participated in many events/seminars dealing with topics of democracy, human rights, co-existence, religious tolerance and intercultural dialogue. He has also worked as an intern at the German Parliament “Deutscher Bundestag”.
Moreover, he is a member of different various local organisations in Jerusalem. He is politically and socially active in issues concerning the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
In a personal context, he likes to develop his knowledge and skills in various fields. He is very interested in cultural exchange and believes in sharing experiences with other people from different backgrounds.
