Patrick Luna is a Brazilian diplomat, currently posted as Second Secretary to the Embassy of Brazil in Nairobi (Kenya), where he acts as Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and to the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat).
From August 2014 to February 2019, he was posted to the Permanent Mission of Brazil to the United Nations in New York, where he covered issues related to international law, protection of civilians, international criminal accountability and counter-terrorism.
Patrick Luna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law (University of São Paulo, 2008) and graduated from the Brazilian Diplomatic Academy (Instituto Rio Branco) in 2010. He was a participant of the 36th IDL (2012). He is fluent in English, French, German, Portuguese and Spanish, and was born in São Paulo (Brazil) on 2 December 1983.
